Right Now

London, England:  So much for my daily updates.  How about a blog in each city?  I think I can manage that.  The good news is that I've been seeing friends, taking photos and enjoying one of my most favorite places in the world.  (That is, of all the places I've seen thus far.)  But, per usual, I'm beat from the working and walking, so for right now, I figure I'll let the pictures do the talking:

The view from my room (Kensington Gardens).
I still don't think I'm going to ever get the hang of sitting on other side of the car...
on the other side of the street.
Truly old friends that somehow stayed in touch over the years
(without the luxury of Facebook) and now meet up across the pond.
The best part of seeing the city with a friend
is being taken to secret gardens for lunch.
If we had a subway, this would totally happen in Nashville.
Feeling a bit punk in Camden Lock.
Tyler Ward, youtube phenomenon and US citizen.
The perfect place for 2 Nashvillians to meet.
A cup of tea with one of my favorite (and most talented) Brits.
For my sister, Anne:  Boy George's house.
How could I not?
It's the band in London!
I know, I know....
There was some work to be done too
(though I actually didn't take any of our first show... interesting).
A quick late night stroll by Harrod's.
Thank you, Pollstar!
What comes to mind while in fantastic cities, such as this, is the old saying, "wherever you go, there you are."  Although I'm loving my life right now, there are little pangs of anxiety and sadness that interrupt my regularly scheduled programming.  The progress is that they are fewer and far between than in the past.  And perhaps if I simply let them happen, instead of my normal fighting them / running away from / drowning them out, they will continue to lessen.

And sometimes, you need to sit in jammies in a hotel room and listen to a song that just fits.  Right lyrics, right location, right band, right now.
